  • Framing
Dictionary Dogs will fit best in a standard 8x10 frame. Due to the page being roughly 6.5"x9.5" there will be a small amount of negative space surrounding the page. *You may need to "mount" the page onto something before framing it, like a piece of cardstock cut to fit the 8x10 frame. I suggest staying away from white backing only because it will not compliment the ivory color of the dictionary page. Or you can go above and beyond an 8x10 frame and get it custom framed at a shop! I have had a few clients do that as well.
  • What if my dog's name and breed aren't in the dictionary?
It's not extremely common that we strike out in both categories, but if we do, try to think of a word that you would use to describe your dog(s) - or a word that makes you think of your dog(s)! For example: Loyal, Canine, Family, Goofy, Love, Circus, Peanut Butter, Toy, Park, Bone, etc... No matter what, we'll figure something out!
  • Will you draw on something other than Dictionary pages?
I am always open to new ideas if something is a little more personal to you! For example, I had an order from an owner who is a musician and asked if I could draw their dog on a music sheet. I absolutely LOVE this!! It takes my idea to a whole new level of being unique! The only requirement is that if you are choosing to use something other than a dictionary page, it must be provided by you.
  • Will you draw on a larger scale?
If you are someone who is looking for a much larger version of a Dictionary Dog, we can certainly discuss this! Cost will vary depending on the size that you are interested in. For example: I am working with a client who wants a 22"x40" drawing of her dogs to hang in her house. She is working with a graphic desginer to create a black & white collage all about the history of the breed that she has. Once it is printed out I will be drawing her dogs on top of the collage! How cool is that?!
